What
some have known and many have
speculated, came to reality on Monday as
signs along the right-of-way on Woodlawn
Road told the story. Goody's is closing.
The department store located next door
to the Dollar Tree and across the
highway from Lincoln Chrysler Dodge Jeep
Ram has been in Lincoln since 2004. In
2009 the store was also reported to be
closing when the company claimed
insolvency on a corporate level.
However, a subsequent buy-out of the
company assets kept the local store open
until now at least.

It
has been a busy summer for Hartem volleyball standout
Anna Hayes. She made a trip to Memphis, Tennessee back
in May with her mom, Jennifer, just as the summer was
beginning to kick in. While a stop at Graceland was a
given for these Elvis fans, a visit to the University of
Memphis was on their agenda as well. What transpired out
of that visit to Memphis is something that is off the
charts impressive.
