						On
Saturday morning, the 51st Abraham Lincoln National
Railsplitting Festival got off to a great start with a
ribbon-cutting ceremony, or perhaps it was a
ribbon-splitting ceremony. This year, for the first
time, the red ribbon was cut in two by an ax-wielding
						Heidi Muller.

					Another
first for the Railsplitting festival came on Sunday
afternoon when Logan County native Casey Ballinger and his
son Ryan won the professional and junior railsplitting
					competitions.

Lincoln Daily News will have Saturday coverage in today's
edition and coverage from the Sunday afternoon splitting
					competitions on Tuesday. |
