Monday evening the Humane Society of Logan County announced plans for a lovely and peaceful final resting place for beloved pets. "Forever Home" pet cemetery "will be a simple but nice final resting place for our pets," said Ellen Burbage, president of the organization. Dennis Schrader and Marilyn Wheat headed the committee that has diligently worked on the plans with members Dan Bailey, Judy Conzo and Mick Turner.

"What should I do today?" Through the holiday season there are a lot of activities going on. Make a list, plan your shopping, eat out to avoid cooking, and save gas and time by taking advantage of all the things you can find locally...

Thursday

Just 19 shopping days left until Christmas. How are you coming along on your list?

Today, stop in at Prairie Years and take in all the great toys, books and other gift items they have in stock.

These adorable marionettes would make an extraordinary gift for someone on your list.

Did you know... Thursday night is Steak Night at GUZZARDO's and that they offer not only dine-in but carryout and FREE delivery off their menu? Need a menu? Click here.

Friday

OK, guys, this is your chance to show her you were listening!Kameleon Jewelry is still the rage at MKS JEWELERS, and if she doesn't have a piece yet, you'll be a superhero this Christmas for getting her one!

And remember the settings are interchangeable. So if she does have a piece, buy her a new center.

Tonight before you head out to Elkhart or Lincoln College, go out dinner at Cracker Barrel. This terrific restaurant on the city's west end offers you two opportunities. They have a wonderful little country store that is full of unique gifting items, and they serve a really great meal!
