An
empty desk in the council chambers at
the Lincoln City Council Committee of
the Whole meeting Tuesday night
signified the absence of a city
administrator. Former administrator Clay
Johnson served his last day on Monday,
August 28th. Tuesday evening Mayor Seth
Goodman said that the council would be
asked to approve an interim
administrator. He said there are several
projects going on that require the
attention of an administrator. He also
said that interviews have already taken
place with prospective interim
candidates. The council agreed to put a
vote on the Tuesday, September 5th
agenda, and also stipulated that they
may choose to table that motion if they
are not prepared to accept a candidate
for consideration.
