[NOV. 22, 2003]  Thirty-two members of the Lincoln Junior High School speech team participated in 28 events at the IESA's state speech contest at Petersburg on Nov. 1. The team, coached by Kathy Litherland, Karolee Johnson and Karen Lee, returned with 17 first-place ratings, eight second places and three thirds.
