Ag issues team competes at
national convention

[NOV. 24, 2003]  The Hartsburg-Emden FFA ag issues team recently competed in the Agricultural Issues Forum Career Development Event at the National FFA Convention Oct. 29-Nov. 1 in Louisville, Ky. The team received a silver emblem. Their agricultural issue was "The Upgrading of the Locks and Dams of the Upper Mississippi and Illinois Rivers."

The Hartem team consisted of Kyle Hoerbert, Kory Leesman, Matt Wrage, Brittney Kavanaugh, and Nic Alberts.

The FFA strives to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agriculture education.
