[SEPT. 15, 2003]  VALPARAISO, Ind. -- After trailing 2-0 at halftime Lincoln College battled back before losing 5-4. The Lynx, now 2-3 for the season, tied the score at 2-2 early in the second half, and it was tied again at three and four before Valparaiso scored the winning goal with 10 minutes left to play.

Chris Douglas scored the first Lincoln College goal, and Tim Vogel tied the score off assists from Jimmy Vongkorad and Zach Ziegler. After the hosts went back on top, Christopher Tindall took a pass from Vongkorad and knocked the ball in the goal to knot the score at 3-3.

Valparaiso again went on top only to have Lincoln tie the score at 4-4 on a goal by Thorbjorn Rertorli. Valparaiso then got the winning goal from a varsity player, Hyde, with 10 minutes left, to gain the victory.

Coach Ben Massena said, "It was a heartbreaking loss, but we played much better, especially offensively. We are still having some problems with injuries, and that has hurt us in the past couple of games."
