In the opening performances of "LCT Encore!" Brandon Davis (center left) takes on the persona of Charlie Brown in the performance, You’re a good man Charlie Brown." The second selection of the night features Dan Bailey (center right) as the well-known Peanuts Beagle ‘Snoopy’ who rejoices in the arrival of his dinner in "Suppertime." Tonight's tickets are all taken, but there is still time to reserve your seat for Saturday night or Sunday afternoon.

The sun sets over a Logan County soybean field north of Lincoln. This week we are getting some relief from the rain. While it did rain on Thursday, at least it has not rained every day. But, we still have heat and humidity hanging on, with forecasts predicting that the weekend may get a little uncomfortable. So be sure to stay hydrated as you head out to the Art in the Park or Family Fun Day this weekend.

The Lincoln Chill 18U girls team placed First in the USSSA tourney this past weekend. They won the championship game in an international tie breaker against the Quad City Firebirds 11-6. The team advanced to the title game by winning back to back games on Sunday beating the Belvidere Blasters & the Aurora Raiders.
