Today,
our ‘Show us your pink’ picture is not
one, not, two, not even three, but six
shots from one local business. LDN was
happily surprised when the State Bank of
Lincoln said they wanted not only to be
included in the Show us your pink, but
that they wanted all four bank locations
in Lincoln, as well as the two locations
in Clinton to take part. We thank the
bank for its show of support for Breast
Cancer Awareness.

On
Saturday crowds flocked to the 34th
Annual Harvest of Talents at the Lincoln
Christian Church. The day was filled
with food and shopping, fellowship, and
activities. The day’s activities, as
always, ended with the Harvest of
Talents Auction. A large crowd gathered
to participate in the excitement of a
live auction, with individuals hopeful
to garner the title of "winner" as the
bids for handcrafted items rose.
At a special Harvest Celebration service
on Sunday morning it was announced the
event raised $100,689.28 this year. The
funds will be given to International
Disaster Emergency Services to fight
hunger throughout the world. In the
history of the Harvest of Talents, the
event sponsored by Lincoln Christian
Church has now raised a total of
$2,239,735.72.
