The
city of Lincoln Citizens of the Week
this week are Colbie Glenn in the youth
category and Cathy Moore in the adult
category. Mayor Seth Goodman announced
the winners based on nominations he had
received this week.
He said that Colbie Glenn had received a
lot of attention because he is generous.
A member of the Lincoln Youth Wrestling
program, Colby participated in a
"push-up-a-thon" fundraiser to bring in
money to pay for warm-up gear for
himself and one other team member who
couldn't afford to make that purchase.
He is also involved in other efforts
including a fundraiser for autism.
Kathy Moore was selected for her
assistance with the citizen awards.
Goodman noted that on Monday evening he
did not have a certificate for Moore,
because she is the one who makes the
certificates, and it would have spoiled
the surprise. In addition to
certificates, both recipients were given
gift cards.
