Congratulations to Jewell Sumski. The resident of Maple Ridge Care Centre celebrated her 106th birthday yesterday. As far as we can tell, Jewell is the oldest Logan County resident, and family and friends threw her a party yesterday afternoon at the facility.

Golfers at the annual D.A.R.E. golf tournament came in from the heat and enjoyed a meal of pork chops and fish at the Lincoln Elks Lodge Friday afternoon. After the meal there was an auction and raffle to help obtain funds for future D.A.R.E. programs.
