LDN -- Top Stories

On Monday evening the new director of the Logan County Tourism Bureau, Bill Hoagland, made his first appearance before the Lincoln City Council. He was accompanied by the Bureau President Gail Apel-Sasse. Sasse spoke first, thanking the city for its decision to provide funding to the Bureau for the 2017 year, and introduced Hoagland to the council. Hoagland said that he would not be saying a great deal on this night because he is on the agenda to return next week for the Committee of the Whole meeting. Sasse also commented that the council would hear from the bureau in the near future concerning the appointment of new board members. She noted the new by-laws for the bureau allows for up to 15 board members. The upcoming appointments will increase the number from seven to nine.
