LDN -- Top Stories

On  Wednesday, August 2nd, the city of Lincoln celebrated the completion of the new Municipal Services Building located on Limit Street in Lincoln. The Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony outside the massive garage that will be utilized by the street department.

The new building will serve as the headquarters for the street department, plus it will house the offices of the city's code officer and staff.

And that's a wrap! As of this morning, LDN will officially say that its coverage of the Logan County Fair is completed for this year. Like many of the families who attend and participate in shows and various fair activities, now that it is all done, the staff at LDN would like to give out pats on the back for a job well done; and applause - to those who work to organize all the events - for the Fair Board and Fair Office work, and those who maintain the grounds all year long, but especially during the fair - to everyone who contributed in any manner to make the Logan County Fair, the best county fair in Illinois. It is with a big sigh of relief, and like so many others, tomorrow we'll start thinking about next year. So, we'll end this season by saying, "See you in 2018!"
