It has been a long time coming, but it has finally happened. The bridge on Oglesby Street is gone. In the last two days, crews made quick work of demolishing the bridge and hauling away debris. The city will place temporary barriers on each of the now two dead-end streets. As the budget allows, the city will install permanent barriers with some type of decorative element.

With the end of the fourth week in October at hand, there are still crops in the fields in Logan County. Colder and damper weather this week may be causing a bit of anxiety for area farmers. LDN would like to remind the farming and non-farming community to be watchful for each other on the roads. Logan County has a great record for low tractor-versus-vehicle accidents. We want to keep it that way!
