Carpenter lost her life while trying to shield her three children, including Austin, 1, from the soaring winds of a deadly twister Saturday. Rodney Bradshaw, her cousin, said he found Carpenter pinned by two collapsed walls, a washing machine and refrigerator. The trailer the family lived in was tossed over 100 yards.
